Venue: Kape Mo-To, Tagaytay
This day marked the official launch of our company XPLR PH Motorcycle Adventure Tours Inc, and our web site.
Present from XPLR PH were:
- Mike Hill (President & Founder)
- Wes Syren (Chairperson)
- Jeds Syren (Company Secretary)
- Johanna Syren (Treasurer)
- Brigitte Lucenos (Social Media Manager)
The venue was booked from 2pm until 6pm with a start time of 3pm, but we arrived early at around 1pm to set up the motorcycle display in front of Kape Mo-To. Archway our premium partner set up a display tent and we assembled a number of motorcycles, namely:
- CFMOTO 450MT
- Benelli Leoncino 800
- Benelli TRK 502x
- CFMOTO 500SR Voom

A short while later other partners started to arrive. Fast Cat set up their banners as did our motorcycle apparel supplier DR+
Inside the cafe the delicious food was laid-out and we set up our banner and projector/screen. We had intended to use the flat-screen TV to present our web site but on inspection found the quality not to our satisfaction, so we elected to project the web site onto the pop-up screen.
The TV wasn’t our only problem. We could not connect to the Kape Mo-To WiFi, due to the fact that connection is only possible by scanning a QR code, which cannot be done from a laptop. After trying for several long minutes we decided to abandon that idea and just hotspot to my phone. Problem #2 – my laptop just wouldn’t establish a connection no matter what I did. I rebooted both laptop and phone but they refused to talk to one another. Luckily Jeds came to the rescue with his phone and my laptop finally agreed to talk. Minutes before the start of the event the Kape Mo-To IT technician turned up and manual connected the laptop to the Kape Mo-To WiFi.

The event kick-off on time at 3pm. Jeds made the welcome speech, introducing the company and the agenda for the day. This was followed by the national anthem delivered by the Philippine Motorcycle Tourism video.

Now it was my turn (Mike) to present the web site. This gave me the opportunity not only to show the functionality of the site but also to elaborate on our company mission and services. The presentation was followed by a brief Q&A session.

Following the presentation we had time for some group photos

We also took this opportunity to sign a pre-partnership agreement with FastCat which sets the terms for the formal agreement to be signed later in the month.

The afternoon concluded with some food and drink and lots of friendly chatter.

Now we are officially up and running; company and website http://www.xplrph.com

Thanks to our partners FastCat, Archway and DRI+ for their support and also to Dr Kim Fajardo (Vice President Tagaytay Tourism Council) and Ms Faith Maranan (OIC Tagaytay City Tourism Office).
